Act of Love 4

O God, all that I am
and all that I have is from You.
You have given me my gifts of body and soul.
You have numbered me among your favoured children.
You have showered me with countless graces and blessings.
From all eternity You have thought of me and loved me.
How shall I ever love You in return?

And now in your merciful goodness
You are coming into my soul
to unite Yourself most intimately with me.
You came into the world for love of man,
but now You are coming from the altar for love of me.
You are coming to fill me heart with Your holy love,
my Creator, my Redeemer,
my Sanctifier, my God.

O Jesus, I want to return this love.
I want to love You with all the powers of my soul.
I want to belong only to You,
to consecrate myself to You alone.
Jesus, let me live for You;
let me die for You.
Living and dying may I be Yours.

Amen.

Act of Love 5

O my Divine Jesus,
how shall I return You thanks
for the goodness in giving Yourself to me?
The only way I can repay Your love
is by loving You in return.
Yes, my Lord, I love You,
and I desire to love You all my life.

My Jesus, You alone are sufficient for me.
Whom shall I love,
if I love not You, my Jesus?
You love those who love You.
I love you.
Oh, do You also love me.
If I love You but little,
give me the love which You require of me.

O Mary, my good Mother,
and You glorious Saint Joseph,
lend me your love wherewith to love my Jesus.

Amen.

Act of Love and Desire before Holy Communion 1

Oh, that I could love Thee, Jesus,
as if I had knelt at Thy feet
and felt the touch of Thy hand on my brow,
and heard Thy gentle voice
that uttered absolutions
and gave encouragement to the sick
and the unfortunate.
Oh, that I could love Thee,
as the poor of Galilee loved Thee,
as Mary Magdalen loved Thee,
as Saint Peter and Saint John,
the beloved disciple,
loved Thee, as she, who knew Thee best,
Thy blessed Mother,
loved Thee, and, most of all, O Lord,
as Thou hast loved me.

Let me at least love Thee
with all my heart and soul and mind and strength.
And let my love be worthy of the name,
showing itself by confidence,
by generosity, by sacrifice,
acknowledging cheerfully
that all Thy dispensations are best for me,
counting no cost when I work for Thee,
Giving up gladly what is dear to me
when Thou dost ask it,
when it will to serve Thee better
and to further the interests of Thy Sacred Heart.

Dispose of me, O Lord, as Thou pleasest;
for from henceforth I am entirely Thine.
I offer Thee all that I am and all that I have.
I shall labour and suffer for Thy glory,
for the salvation of others,
and for my own sanctification.

Come, my Jesus,
crucified for love of me.
Come, dear Jesus,
in the sacrament of Thy love,
and be Thou all mine,
as I desire to be all Thine.

O blessed Virgin, my tender Mother,
who didst obtain from thy divine Son a wonderful miracle
at the wedding-feast at Cana,
behold my misery and the need I have of thy assistance;
obtain for me of Jesus a prodigy of His almighty power,
that my coldness and tepidity may be changed into ardent
charity.

Amen.

Act of Love and Desire before Holy Communion 2

Jesus, my God,
Thou art infinitely good and perfect.
I love Thee above all things
and with my whole heart.
I desire to receive Thee in Holy Communion
that I may love Thee more and serve Thee better.
Come to me and strengthen me,
so that I may never be separated from Thee on earth
and that I may live with Thee eternally in heaven.

Amen.

Act of Oblation before Holy Mass

Eternal Father,
I offer Thee the sacrifice wherein Thy dear Son Jesus
offered Himself upon the Cross
and which He now renews upon this altar,
to adore Thee and to render to Thee that honour which is
Thy due,
acknowledging Thy supreme dominion over all things
and their absolute dependence on Thee,
for Thou art our first beginning and our last end;
to give Thee thanks for countless benefits received;
to appease Thy justice provoked to anger by so many sins,
and to offer Thee worthy satisfaction for the same;
and finally to implore Thy grace and mercy for myself,
for all those who are in tribulation and distress,
for all poor sinners,
for the whole world
and for the blessed souls in purgatory.

Amen.

Act of Offering 2

O my Divine Lord,
I offer You my body and its senses,
my soul and its faculties,
my heart and its sentiments.

My thoughts, my desires,
my words, my actions,
my whole being are Yours.
Since You have given Yourself wholly to me,
can I do less than give myself wholly to You?

Grant me, O Divine Jesus,
to persevere in Your holy love.
Give me a still greater sorrow for my past sins,
and strengthen the sincere resolution
I have formed never again to offend You.

Amen.
