Lord Jesus Christ, who camest down from heaven to earth from the bosom of the Father, and didst shed Thy Precious Blood for the remission of our sins: we humbly beseech Thee, that in the day of judgment we may deserve to hear, standing at Thy right hand: “Come, ye blessed.” Who livest and reignest for ever and ever.

Offering to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

(INDULGENCES: 300 days each time; plenary, once a month, to those who for a month recite it daily before a picture of the Sacred Heart, provided that after confession and communion, they pray for the intention of the Sovereign Pontiff.)

I N… N…, desirous to make the best return in my power for Thy benefits, and the most ample atonement for my transgressions, I give Thee my heart, and consecrate my whole being to Thee, O amiable Jesus; and I purpose, with the assistance of Thy grace, never more to offend Thee.

Offering to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ – All Actions of the Day

Every day of my life belongs to Thee,
O my God,
and every action of my life
should be performed with the pure intention
of honouring Thee alone.
From this moment I offer them
to Thy Sacred Heart,
and by this offering,
I consecrate them without reserve to Thy glory.
What a motive for performing all my actions
with all possible perfection!
Do not permit them,
O my divine Saviour,
to be sullied by any motives
unworthy of Thy Sacred Heart.
I renounce all that could lessen
the merit of my offering.
I renounce all vanity,
self-love and human respect.
Grant, O my God,
that I may begin,
continue and end this day in Thy grace,
and solely from the pure motive
and pleasing and honouring Thee.

Amen.

Offering of the Sick for Vocations

Dear Lord, here is a new day you have given me in which to love you and to help others to love you. Above all things, help me to love and accept your holy will. Lord Jesus, in giving me this cross of my illness, it was your desire to bring me nearer to you Divine Heart. I want to bring others also to know you better, to love you more, and for this I know that good and holy priests are necessary; so I will offer my cross, united with yours, for vocations to the holy priesthood. Amen.

Teach me, O Lord, to do your will, for you are my God. Keep me, Lord, as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings. O Lord, remember not against us the iniquities of the past; may your compassion quickly come to us.

Amen.

Offering of the Will

Lord, I come to offer You my will. I live these years when it is being forged. I want to offer it to You, so that You make it all Yours. Save it from the diseases which threaten it.

By the grace of Your Spirit, make my will strong, not afraid of obstacles, persevering, not giving up because of stumbles, aiming at horizons higher and wider than my immediate needs, capable of making sacrifices to build a more vibrant future.

Give me a will which is strong but not obstinate, willing to listen to voices of calm and experience, not presumptuous, but conscious of my limitations, not arrogant, choosing not to belittle those less fortunate than me, not selfish, willing to assist those in need of help.
Help me to understand that it is in doing small things that a great will is forged, in doing humble things that a noble will gets its wings, in doing routine duties well that I prepare myself for heroic deeds.

Be at my side, Lord, to lift me up, and push me forward, when the going gets rough, and I am boneweary, when I don’t want to get up after so many falls, when I don’t feel like doing anything to get myself out of the dumps.

Help me say with You: “Not my will, Father, but Yours be done!” Help me conquer myself, before I am to conquer the world, and to be master of myself, before I am to lead others.

Amen.

Prayer for Officers in Command

God and Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ,
Hear my prayer for these soldiers under my command.
Grant that I may bring the spirit of Christ
to all my efforts and orders
as I exercise my authority over those entrusted to my care.
Inform my judgment with your Holy Spirit
so that I may make decisions
in conformity with your law and for the common good.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.

Oh bendito San Antonio
