Act of Thanksgiving 1

From the depths of my heart
I thank You, Dear Lord,
For Your infinite kindness in coming to me.
How good You are to me!

With Your most holy Mother and all the angels,
I praise Your mercy and generosity toward me,
A poor sinner.

I thank You for noourishing my soul
With Your Sacred Body and Precious Blood.

I will try to show my gratitude to You
In the Sacrament of Your love,
By obedience to Your holy commandemnts,
By fidelity to my duties,
By kindness to my neighbour
And by an earnest endeavour
To become more like You in my daily conduct.

Act of Thanksgiving 2

Thank You, O God,
for hearing my prayer
and granting my request.
Thank You for all the kindness
You have shown me.

Thank You, Father,
for Your great love
in giving me my life,
for Your great patience
in preserving me despite my sinfulness,
for Your protection in the past
and for the opportunity to serve
and honour You in the future.

Thank You, Lord Jesus,
for keepinog me numberless times
from sin and death by the toils of Your life,
the sufferings of Your Passion,
and by Your victorious Resurrection.

Thank You, Holy Spirit of God,
for bestowing so many graces upon my soul
and for having so frequently
renewed Your life within me.

May my life, from now on,
be a sign of my gratefulness.

Amen.

An Act of Thanksgiving 3

O God, the beginning and the end of all things,
Who art always the same,
and Whose years fail not,
we now, at the close of another year,
kneel in adoration before Thee,
and offer Thee our deepest thanks
for the fatherly care with which
Thou has watched over us during the past,
for the many times Thou hast protected us
from evils of soul and body,
and for the numberless blessings,
both temporal and spiritual,
which Thou hast showered upon us.

May it please Thee to accept the homage of our grateful
hearts
which we offer Thee
in union with the infinite thanksgiving of Thy Divine Son,
our Lord Jesus Christ,
Who with Thee liveth and reigneth forever and ever.

Amen.

Act of Thansgiving after Holy Communion 1

How delectable is the sweetness of Thy heavenly Bread!
How admirable is the tranquillity
and how perfect the peace of him who receives Thee,
after the contrite and sincere confession of his sins!

Be Thou blessed a thousand times, my Jesus!
When I was in sin, I was unhappy;
but now not only is my soul at peace,
but I seem to have a foretaste of the peace of paradise!

Ah, how true it is,
that our hearts were made for Thee,
my beloved Lord,
and that they rest only when they rest in Thee!

Therefore do I give Thee thanks
and firmly purpose evermore to avoid sin and its occasions
and to fix my abode in Thy divine Heart,
whence I look for help to love Thee even unto death.

Amen.

Act of Thansgiving after Holy Communion 2

My Lord Jesus Christ,
most sweet and most kind,
who even now, of Thy great goodness,
hast entered into this poor and humble abode,
adorn it and enrich it with Thy treasures,
that it may be made worthy of Thine indwelling.

Take up Thy rest therein,
that my heart may find its rest in Thee alone.
Let it not suffice Thee, O Lord,
to have given me Thy sacred Body;
give me also the treasures of grace
which Thou bringest with Thee;
for it will profit me little to eat the Bread of life,
if I remain unfed by Thy grace.

Give me, O Lord,
a heart completely transformed into Thee by love;
give me a life that shall be all Thine,
a quiet death that shall be the beginning of eternal life.

That is what I look for,
pray and hope for from Thee,
my eternal God,
by virtue of this Blessed Sacrament.

Act of Thansgiving after Holy Communion 3

What shall I render unto Thee,
O Lord Jesus for all that Thou hast done unto me,
especially on this day?
In Thy care for me Thou hast given me Thy Body for my
food,
and Thy Blood for my drink,
and both as a pledge of future glory.
Would that my lips might be opened,
and my mouth filled with Thy praise,
that I might sing of Thy glory
and of Thy greatness all the day long,
and tell of all Thy wondrous works.
O my soul, magnify the Lord,
from whom thou hast received blessings so many and so
great;
and rejoice, my spirit, in God thy Saviour:
for He hath looked down on my lowliness;
and the Mighty One hath done great things for me,
and hath filled me, when hungry, with good things.

Let my words please Thee, O Lord;
my joy shall be in Thee,
and I will strive to practise Thy commandments.
Hold Thou me by Thy right hand,
and guide me by Thy will,
that Thou mayest afterwards receive me into Thy glory,
for Thy mercy’s sake.

Amen.

Act of Thansgiving after Holy Communion 4

My good Jesus,
I thank Thee with all my heart for giving me Thyself,
the Source of all graces, in holy communion.
I thank Thee for all the blessings
that I have received from Thee,
especially through the Holy Eucharist,
in which Thou art ever present to console us
and to help us in our needs.

In thanksgiving of all Thy favours,
I offer Thee all that I am and have.
Dispose of me according to Thy pleasure.
May Thy will be done in me and through me now and forever.

Jesus, receive my poor offering.
What can I give Thee?
I give myself to Thee, that I may always serve Thee.
I give Thee my body, that it may be chaste and pure.
I give Thee my soul, that it may be free from sin.
I give Thee my heart, that it may always love Thee.
I give Thee every breath that I shall breathe, and
especially my last;
I give Thee myself in life and in death, that I may be
Thine forever and glorify Thee eternally.

Remember the words of Jesus:
“Ask and you shall receive,” and pray for yourself.

O Jesus, wash away my sins with Thy precious blood.

O Jesus, the struggle against temptation is not yet
finished.
My Jesus, when temptation comes near me,
make me strong against it.
In the moment of temptation may I always say,
“Jesus, mercy!”
“Mary, help of Christians, help me!”

O Jesus, may I lead a good life;
may I die a happy death.
May I receive Thee in Holy Viaticum
before I die.
May I say when I am dying,
“Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
I give you my heart and soul.”

Listen now for a moment to Jesus;
perhaps He has something to say to you.
There may be some promise you have made and broken,
which He wishes you to make again and keep.
Answer Jesus in your heart,
and tell Him all your troubles.
Then pray for others.

O Jesus, have mercy on Thy holy Church.
Bless our Holy Father,
and grant what he asks of Thee.

O Jesus, have pity on all sinners, heretics, and infidels.
Save them by Thy most precious blood.

O Jesus, bless my father, my mother, my brothers and
sisters;
my relatives, friends and benefactors;
and all for whom I have promised to pray;
bless them as Thy kind Heart know how to bless them.

O Jesus, have pity on the poor souls suffering in
purgatory,
and give them eternal rest.

Amen.

Act of Union with Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary after Holy Communion

O most merciful Father,
who hast so loved me as to give me
Thine Only-begotten Son for my food and drink,
and with Him all things,
look upon the Face of Thine Anointed,
in whom Thou art well pleased.
This Thy Beloved Son,
and with Him my heart,
I offer and present to Thee for all the blessings
Thou hast this day given me.
Mayest Thou, O Father,
be now well pleased in Him,
and through Him turn away Thine indignation from me.

Behold the One Mediator between God and men,
the Man Christ Jesus,
my Advocate and High-Priest,
Who intercedes for me.
Him do I offer and plead before Thee,
who committed no sin,
but bore the sins of the world,
and by whose stripes we are healed.
Accept, therefore, O Holy Father,
this Unspotted Victim,
to the honour and glory of Thy name,
in thanksgiving for all the blessings
Thou hast ever bestowed upon me,
for the remission also of my sins,
and for the supply of all my defects and shortcomings.

O Blessed Virgin,
Mother of my God and Saviour,
present my petitions to thy Son.
O all ye Angels and Saints, citizens of heaven,
join also your prayers with mine.
Ye stand always before the Throne,
and see Him face to face,
whom I here receive under veils.
Be ever mindful of me,
and obtain from Him and through Him
that with you I may bless Him
and love Him for ever.

Amen.
