Consecration of a Family 2

To the Immaculate Heart of Mary
Oh Mother Most Pure, we come to You as a family and consecrate ourselves to your most Immaculate Heart. We come to You as a family and place our trust in Your powerful intercession.

Oh Dearest Mother Mary, teach us as a mother teaches her children, for our souls are soiled and our prayers are weak because of our sinful hearts. Here we are Dearest Mother, ready to respond to You and follow Your way, for Your way leads us to the heart of Your Son, Jesus. We are ready to be cleansed and purified.

Come then Virgin Most Pure, and embrace us with Your motherly mantle. Make our hearts whiter than snow and as pure as a spring of fresh water. Teach us to pray, so that our prayers may become more beautiful than the singing of the birds at the break of dawn.
Dear Mother Mary, we entrust to Your Immaculate Heart of hearts, our family and our entire future. Lead us all to our homeland which is Heaven.

Amen.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.

Consecration of the Family to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary

Most holy Hearts of Jesus and Mary,
united in perfect love,
as you look upon us with mercy and caring,
we consecrate our hearts,
our lives, our family to you.
We know the beautiful example
of your home in Nazareth was meant to be
a model for each of our families.

We hope to have,
with your help,
the unity and strong,
enduring love you gave to one another.
May our home be filled with joy.
May sincere affection, patience,
tolerance and mutual respect be freely given to all.
May our prayers be filled with the needs of others,
not just ourselves a
and may we always be close to your sacraments.

Bless those who are present,
as well as those who are absent,
both the living and the dead;
may peace be among us
and when we are tested,
grant us the Christian acceptance of God’s will.
Keep our family close to your Hearts;
may your special protection be with us always.
Most Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary,
hear our prayer.

Consecration to the Holy Family

O Jesus, our most loving Redeemer, who having come to enlighten the world with Thy teaching and example, didst will to pass the greater part of Thy life in humility and subjection to Mary and Joseph in the poor home of Nazareth, thus sanctifying the Family that was to be an example for all Christian families, graciously receive our family as it dedicates and consecrates itself to Thee this day. Do Thou protect us, guard us and establish amongst us Thy holy fear, true peace and concord in Christian love: in order that by living according to the divine pattern of Thy family we may be able, all of us without exception, to attain to eternal happiness.

Mary, dear Mother of Jesus and Mother of us, by the kindly intercession make this our humble offering acceptable in the sight of Jesus, and obtain for us His graces and blessings.

O Saint Joseph, most holy Guardian of Jesus and Mary, help us by thy prayers in all our spiritual and temporal needs; that so we may be enabled to praise our divine Savior Jesus, together with Mary and thee, for all eternity.

Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory be three times.

Amen.

Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Most sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Your altar. We are Yours, and Yours we wish to be; but, to be more surely united with You, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today to Your Most Sacred Heart. Many indeed have never known You; many too, despising Your precepts, have rejected You. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Your Sacred Heart.

You are King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken You, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned You; grant that they may quickly return to their Father’s house lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.

You are King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof; call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one flock and one Shepherd.

You are King of all those who are still involved in the darkness of idolatry or of Islamism; refuse not to draw them all into the light and kingdom of God. Turn Your eyes of mercy toward the children of that race, once Your chosen people. Of old they called down upon themselves the Blood of the Savior; may it now descend upon them a laver of redemption and of life.

Grant, O Lord, to Your Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace and order to all nations, and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry: Praise to the Divine Heart that wrought our salvation; to It be glory and Honor forever.

Amen.

Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus

O most Sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the Human race; behold us prostrate most humbly before Your altar (in your presence). To You we belong; Yours we wish to be; and that we may be united to You more closely, we dedicate ourselves each one of us to-day to Your most Sacred Heart.

Many have never known You; many, despising Your commands, have rejected You. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Your sacred Heart. Be You King, O Lord, not only over the faithful who never have gone away from You, but also over the prodigal children who have forsaken You; and make them return quickly to their Father’s house, lest they perish of misery and hunger. Be You King of those who have been misled by error, or separated by schism; and call them back to the haven of truth and the unity of faith, so that there may soon be one fold and one Shepherd. Grant to Your Church, O Lord, assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace and order to all nations, and grant that, over the whole earth, from pole to pole, may resound the words:

Praise to the Divine Heart, through which was brought to us salvation; glory and honor be to It for ever. Amen…

O Heart of love. I put all my trust in You; for I fear all things from my own weakness, but I hope for all things from Your goodness.

Most sweet Heart of Jesus, grant that peace, the fruit of justice and charity, may reign throughout the world.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, protect our families.

Consecration to Saint Joseph (of Children by Their Parents)

O glorious St. Joseph,
to you God committed the care
of His only begotten Son
amid the many dangers of this world.

We come to you
and ask you to take under your special protection
the children God has given us.

Through holy baptism they became children of God
and members of His holy Church.

We consecrate them to you today,
that through this consecration
they may become your foster children.

Guard them, guide their steps in life,
form their hearts after the hearts of Jesus and Mary.

St. Joseph,
who felt the tribulation and worry of a parent
when the child Jesus was lost,
protect our dear children for time and eternity.
May you be their father and counselor.

Let them, like Jesus,
grow in age as well as in wisdom
and grace before God and men.

Preserve them from the corruption of this world,
and give us the grace one day
to be united with them in heaven forever.

Amen.

Consecration to Our Lady of Sorrows

Most holy Virgin and Queen of Martyrs,
Mary, would that I could be in Heaven,
there to contemplate the honours rendered to thee
by the Most Holy Trinity
and by the whole Heavenly Court!

But since I am still a pilgrim in this vale of tears,
receive from me, thy unworthy servant and a poor sinner,
the most sincere homage
and the most perfect act of vassalage
a human creature can offer thee.

In thy Immaculate Heart,
pierced with so many swords of sorrow,
I place today my poor soul forever;
receive me as a partaker in thy dolors,
and never suffer that I should depart from that Cross
on which thy only begotten Son expired for me.

With thee, O Mary,
I will endure all the sufferings,
contradictions, infirmities,
with which it will please thy Divine Son
to visit me in this life.

All of them I offer to thee,
in memory of the Dolors
which thou didst suffer during thy life,
that every thought of my mind,
every beating of my heart
may henceforward be an act of compassion to thy Sorrows,
and of complacency for the glory
thou now enjoyest in Heaven.

Since then, O Dear Mother,
I now compassionate thy Dolors,
and rejoice in seeing thee glorified,
do thou also have compassion on me,
and reconcile me to thy Son Jesus,
that I may become thy true and loyal son (daughter);
come on my last day and assist me in my last agony,
even as thou wert present at the Agony of thy Divine Son Jesus,
that from this painful exile I may go to Heaven,
there to be made partaker of thy glory.

Amen.

Consecration to Mary

My Queen and my Mother,
I give myself entirely to you;
and to show my devotion to you,
I consecrate to you this day my eyes,
my ears, my mouth, my heart,
my whole being without reserve.
Wherefore, good Mother,
as I am your own,
keep me, guard me,
as your property and possession.

Amen.

Consecration of the Sick to Mary

O kind and good Mother,
whose own soul was pierced by the sword of sorrow,
look upon us while,
in our sickness,
we arraign ourselves beside you
on the Calvary where your Jesus hangs.

Dowered with the high grace of suffering,
and hopeful of fulfilling in our own flesh
what is wanting in our sharing of Christ’s passion,
on behalf of his Mystical Body, the Church,
we consecrate to you ourselves and our pain.
We pray that you will place them
on that Altar of the Cross to which Jesus is affixed.
May they be little victims of propitiation for our salvation,
for the salvation of all peoples.

O Mother of Sorrows,
accept this consecration.
Strengthen our hopeful hearts,
that as partakers of Christ’s sufferings
we may also share in his comfort now and for evermore.

Amen.
