Be with Me Christ

The cross of Christ be with me;
The cross of Christ overcomes all water and every fire;
The cross of Christ overcomes all weapons;
The cross of Christ is a perfect sign and blessing to my soul.
May Christ be with me and my body during all my life
At day and at night. Now I pray, I [name], pray God the Father
For the soul’s sake, and I pray God the Son for the Father’s sake,
And I pray God the Holy Ghost for the Father’s and Son’s sake,
And I pray God the Holy Ghost for the for the Father’s and the Son’s sake,
That the holy corpse of God may bless me against all evil things, words and works.

The Cross of Christ
The cross of Christ open unto me future bliss;
The cross of Christ be with me, above me, before me,
Behind me, beneath me, aside of me and
Everywhere, and before all my enemies,
Visible and invisible; these all flee from me
As soon as they but know or hear.
Enoch and Elias, the two prophets, were never
Imprisoned, nor bound, nor beaten and came
Never out of their power; thus no one of my enemies
Must be able to injure or attack me in my body
Or my life, in the name of God the Father, the Son,
And the Holy Ghost. Amen!

Protection from Heaven
The blessing which came from heaven,
From God the Father, when the true living Son was born,
Be with me at all times;
The blessing which God spoke over the whole human race,
Be with me always.

Be with Me Today, O Lord

May all I do today begin with you, O Lord.
Plant dreams and hopes within my soul,
revive my tired spirit:
be with me today.

May all I do today continue with your help, O Lord.
Be at my side and walk with me:
Be my support today.

May all I do today reach far and wide, O Lord.
My thoughts, my work, my life:
make them blessings for your kingdom;
let them go beyond today,

O God Today is new unlike any other day,
for God makes each day different.
Today God’s everyday grace falls on my soul like abundant seed,
though I may hardly see it.

Today is one of those days Jesus promised to be with me,
a companion on my journey,
And my life today, if I trust him,
has consequences unseen.
My life has a purpose.

“I have a mission…
“I am a link in a chain,
a bond of connection between persons.
God has not created me for naught…
Therefore I will trust him.
Whatever, wherever I am, I can never be thrown away.
God does nothing in vain.

“He knows what he is about.”

Prayer to Be a Nurse

To be a nurse is to walk with God, Along the path that our Master trod; To soothe the achings of human pain, To faithfully serve for little gain, To lovingly do the kindly deed, A cup of water to one in need, A tender hand on a fevered brow, A word of cheer to those living now; To reach the souls through its body’s woe Oh, this is the way that Jesus would go. Oh, white-capped nurses with hearts so true, Our Great Physician is working through you.

The Prayer Be Sorry for Sins

O my God, I don’t want to go to hell.
I know that because of my many sins I deserve to go there.

Help me get rid of my sins.
I don’t want to lose my soul in everlasting torment,
without all happiness, banished from You forever.

Help me realize that I shall have to make up for my venial sins,
too, and that some of the punishment due to all sin,
even if we escape hell,
must be paid in purgatory.

Help me do some real penance to make up for my sins,
and get rid of part of my purgatory before I die.

O my God, now I see very clearly that I have not given You
the service that I owe You for so many reasons.
I have abused Your wonderful gifts,
using them to offend You who are so good and so lovable.

I sinned even in Your presence.
I saddened Your Heart at the very moment
when You were looking on me with perfect love.

I was so blind and ungrateful as to love creatures more than You, my creator,
who because You are infinitely good and lovable deserve all my love;
I preferred my own pleasure to doing Your will.
Pardon me, O my God,
for all the sins of my whole life.

I am sorry for them.
I hate them from the bottom of my heart because You hate them.
I beg of You, say to me, “Your sins are forgiven.”

Prayer for the Beatification of Jacinta Marto

O Mary,
who in thy maternal love hast chosen little Jacinta
to be the confidante of thy Immaculate Heart
so grieved by the sins of mankind,
thou who didst inspire her with a great spirit of penance,
an ardent zeal for the conversion of sinners,
and an intense desire to atone for the blasphemies
against thy Immaculate Conception,
vouchsafe, we humbly beseech thee,
to obtain from the most merciful Heart of Jesus
the grace of elevation to the honor of the Altar,
of the saintly little girl, Jacinta,
the object of thy predilection,
whom thou hast given us as a model
of apostolation and reparation.

Amen.

The Beatitudes

Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are the meek,
for they shall possess the earth.
Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for justice,
for they shall be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart,
for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God.
Blessed are they who suffer persecution for justice’ sake,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when men reproach you,
and persecute you,
and speaking falsely, say all manner of evil against you, for My sake.

Prayer to Become More Like Jesus

God, our Father,
You redeemed us
and made us Your children in Christ.
Through Him You have saved us from death
and given us Your Divine life of grace.
By becoming more like Jesus on earth,
may I come to share His glory in Heaven.
Give me the peace of Your kingdom,
which this world does not give.
By Your loving care protect the good You have given me.
Open my eyes to the wonders of Your Love
that I may serve You with a willing heart.

PRAYER BEFORE A CRUCIFIX

Look down upon me, good and gentle Jesus
while before Your face I humbly kneel and,
with burning soul,
pray and beseech You
to fix deep in my heart lively sentiments
of faith, hope, and charity;
true contrition for my sins,
and a firm purpose of amendment.

While I contemplate,
with great love and tender pity,
Your five most precious wounds,
pondering over them within me
and calling to mind the words which David,
Your prophet, said to You, my Jesus:

“They have pierced My hands and My feet,
they have numbered all My bones.”

Amen.
