You thieves, I implore you to be obedient like Jesus Christ,
Who obeyed his heavenly Father unto the cross,
And to stand without moving out of my sight,
In the name of the Trinity.
I command you by the power of God
And the incarnation of Jesus Christ
Not to move out of my sight, like Jesus Christ
Stood on Jordan’s stormy banks to be baptized by John.
And furthermore, I implore you, horse and rider,
To stand still and not to move out of my sight,
Like Jesus Christ did stand when he was about
To be nailed to the cross to release the
Fathers of the church from the bonds of hell.
Thieves, I bind you with the same bonds with which Jesus
Our Lord has bound hell; and thus ye shall be bound;
And the same Words that bind you shall also release you.

O God, I beseech You, watch over those exposed to the horror of war, 
Give them such a strong faith that no human respect may ever lead them to deny it, nor fear ever to practice it. By Your grace, O God, fortify them against the contagion of bad example, that being preserved from vice, and serving You faithfully, they may be ready to meet you face to face when they are so called: 
through Christ our Lord.

Amen.

Sacred Heart! Inspire them with sorrow for sin, and grant them pardon. 
Mother of God! Be with them on the battlefield during life and at the hour of death, and grant that they may live and die in the grace of thy Son.

Amen.

Heavenly Father,
Forgive those who trespass against me
For they know not what they do.

Protect us from evil 
And shield us from harm.

You are my armor, my protection, and my sword.

Preserve us in our hour of need,
In Jesus’ name.

1 Listen, my children, to a father’s instruction; pay attention, and learn what understanding is.

2 What I am offering you is sound doctrine: do not forsake my teaching.

3 I too was once a child with a father, in my mother’s eyes a tender child, unique.

4 This was what he used to teach me, ‘Let your heart treasure what I have to say, keep my principles and you will live;

5 acquire wisdom, acquire understanding, never forget her, never deviate from my words.

6 Do not desert her, she will keep you safe; love her, she will watch over you.

7 The first principle of wisdom is: acquire wisdom; at the cost of all you have, acquire understanding!

8 Hold her close, and she will make you great; embrace her, and she will be your pride;

9 she will provide a graceful garland for your head, bestow a crown of honour on you.’

10 Listen, my child, take my words to heart, and the years of your life will be multiplied.

11 I have educated you in the ways of wisdom, I have guided you along the path of honesty.

12 When you walk, your going will be unhindered, if you run, you will not stumble.

13 Hold fast to discipline, never let her go, keep your eyes on her, she is your life.

14 Do not follow the path of the wicked, do not walk the way that the evil go.

15 Avoid it, do not take it, turn your back on it, pass it by.

16 For they cannot sleep unless they have first done wrong, they miss their sleep if they have not made someone stumble;

17 for the bread of wickedness is what they eat, and the wine of violence is what they drink.

18 The path of the upright is like the light of dawn, its brightness growing to the fullness of day;

19 the way of the wicked is as dark as night, they cannot tell the obstacles they stumble over.

20 My child, pay attention to what I am telling you, listen carefully to my words;

21 do not let them out of your sight, keep them deep in your heart.

22 For they are life to those who find them and health to all humanity.

23 More than all else, keep watch over your heart, since here are the wellsprings of life.

24 Turn your back on the mouth that misleads, keep your distance from lips that deceive.

25 Let your eyes be fixed ahead, your gaze be straight before you.

26 Let the path you tread be level and all your ways be firm.

27 Turn neither to right nor to left, keep your foot clear of evil.

Hear, O Lord, my prayer: and let my cry come to Thee. Turn not away Thy face from me: in the day when I am in trouble, incline Thine ear to me. In that day soever I shall call upon Thee, hear me speedily. For my days are vanished like smoke: and my bones are grown dry like fuel for the fire. I am smitten as grass, and my heart is withered: because I forgot to eat my bread. Through the voice of my groaning, my bone hath cleaved to my flesh. I am become like to a pelican of the wilderness: I am like a night raven in the house. I have watched, and am become as a sparrow all alone on the housetop. All the day long my enemies reproached me: and they that praised me did swear against me. For I did eat ashes like bread, an mingled my drink with weeping. Let these things be written unto another generation: and the poeple that shall be created shall praise the Lord: Because He hath looked forth from His high sanctuary: from heaven the Lord hath looked upon the earth. That He might hear the groans of them that are in fetters: that He might release the children of the slain: That they may declare the Name of the Lord in Sion: and His praise in Jerusalem. When the people assemble together, and kings, to serve the Lord. He answered him in the way of His strength: Declare unto me the fewness of my days. Call me not away in the midst of my days: Thy years are into generation and generation. In the beginning, O Lord, Thou foundest the earth; and the heavens are the works of Thy hands. They shall perish but Thou remainest: and all of them shall grow old like a garment: And as a vesture Thou shalt change them, and they shall be changed. But Thou are always the selfsame, and Thy years shall not fail. The children of Thy servants shall continue; and their seed shall be directed for ever.

The Lord said to my Lord: 
Sit Thou at my right hand.
Until I make Thine enemies the footstool of Thy feet.
The Lord shall send forth the sceptre of Thy power out of Sion;
rule Thou in the midst of Thine enemies.
With Thee is the principality in the day of Thy strength, in the brightness of Thy saints:
from the womb before the daystar I begot Thee.
The Lord hath sworn, and He will not repent;
Thou art a priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedech.
The Lord at Thy right hand hath broken kings in the day of His wrath.
He shall judge nations, He shall fill ruins, He shall crush heads in the land of many.
He shall drink of the torrent in the way:
therefore shall He lift up His head.

Ant. The Lord said to my Lord:
Sit Thou at My right hand.
And. Great are the works.

I will praise Thee, O Lord, with my whole heart: 
in the assembly of the righteous and in the congregation.
Great are the works of the Lord:
exquisite and agreeable to all His designs.
His work is His praise and glory;
and His justice remaineth forever.
The merciful and gracious Lord hath appointed a memorial of His wonderful works;
He hath give food to them that fear Him.
He will be for ever mindful of His covenant:
the greatness of His works will He publish to His people.
To give them the inheritance of the Gentiles:
the works of His hands are truth and justice.
True and lasting are all His ordinances, confirmed for ever and ever;
made in truth and justice.
He hath sent redemption to His people;
He hath appointed His covenant for ever.
Holy and awful is His name:
the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
All understnad it aright, who practise it:
His praise endureth for ever and ever.
Ant. Great are the works of the Lord, equisite to all His designs.
And. He that feareth the Lord.

Blessed is the man that feareth the Lord:
in His commandments he shall take great delight.

Mighty on earth shall be his seed:
the generation of the righteous shall be blessed.

Glory and wealth shall be in his house:
and his righteousness endureth for ever and ever.

He is risen in darkness, a light to the upright:
He is merciful, and compassionate, and just.

Acceptable is the man that showeth mercy and lendeth;
he shall order his words with judgment:
and he shall never give way.

The righteous man shall be in eternal remembrance:
he shall not fear an evil report.

His heawrt is ready to hope in the Lord:
his heart is strengthened:
he shall not yield till he despise his enemies.

He hath distributed and given to the poor;
his righteousness remaineth for ever:
his power shall be exalted in glory.

The sinner shall see it, and be enraged;
he shall gnash his teeth and pine away:
the desire of sinners shall perish.

Ant. He that feareth the Lord, 
in His commandments shall have great delight.

Ant. Blessed be the Name of the Lord.

Praise the Lord, ye servants of the Lord: 
praise ye the Name of the Lord.
Let the Name of the Lord be blessed:
now and for evermore.
From the rising of the sun to the setting thereof:
worthy of praise is the Name of the Lord.
High is the Lord above all the nations:
and above the heavens in His glory.
Who is like unto the Lord our God, who dwelleth on high:
and beholdeth what is below in heaven and on earth?
Whom from the earth raiseth up the needy one:
and from the dunghill lifteth up the poor one.
To place him with the princes with the princes of His people.
Who maketh the barren woman to dwell in her house:
the joyful mother of many children.
Ant. Blessed be the Name of the Lord for ever more.

When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a barbarous people, 
Judea was made His sanctuary, and Israel His dominion.
The sea saw it and fled:
Jordan was driver back.
The mountains skipped like rams, and the hills like the lambs of the flock.
What aileth thee, O thou sea, that thou didst flee? and thou Jordan, that thou wast turned back?
Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams? and ye hills, like lambs of the flock?
The earth was moved at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob:
Who turned the rock into pools of water and the stony hill into a fountain of waters.
Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us:
but unto Thy Name give glory.
For Thy mercy, and for Thy truth’s sake:
Wherefore should the heathen say: Where is now their God?
But our God is in heaven:
He hath done all things whatsoever He would.
The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
They have mouths, but they speak not:
eyes have they, but they see not.
They have ears, but they hear not:
noses have they, but they smell not.
They have hands, but they feel not: 
feet have they, but they walk not:
neither speak they through their throat.
Let them that make them be like unto them:
and all such as trust in them.
The house of Israel trusteth in the Lord:
He is their helper and their protector.
The house o Aaron trusteth in the Lord:
He is their helper and their protector.
They that fear the Lord trust in the Lord:
He is their helper and their protector.
The Lord hath been mindful of us, and hath blessed us.
He hath blessed the house of Israel:
He hath blessed the house of Aaron.
He hath blessed them that fear the Lord, both small and great.
May the Lord add blessings upon you;
upon you and upon your children.
Blessed be you of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
The heaven of heavens is the Lord’s but the earth hath He given to the children of men.
The dead shall not priase Thee, O Lord, neither all they that go down to hell.
But we that live bless the Lord, from this time forth for every more.
Ant. But our God is in heaven:
He hath done all things whatsoever He would.
