A Prayer in Praise of God’s Greatness

Almighty, true and incomparable God,
You are present in all things,
yet in no way limited by them.
You remain unaffected by place,
untouched by time,
unperturbed by years,
and undeceived by words.
You are not subject to birth
and in no need of protection.
You are beyond all corruption,
above all change,
immutable by nature.
You live in unapproachable light
and are invisible,
yet You are known to all those
who seek You with hope and love.
You are the God of Israel,
and of all who hope in Christ.

Amen.

Prayer of Praise and Thanks

Blessed are you, Lord God:
Blessed are you for ever.
Holy is your name:
Blessed are you for ever.
Great is your mercy for your people:
Blessed are you for ever.

Amen!

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
We praise you and give you glory:
We bless you for calling us to be your holy people.

Remain in our hearts,
And guide us in our love and service.
Help us to let our light shine before others
And lead them to the way of faith.

Holy Trinity of love,
We praise you now and for ever.

Amen!

We praise you, Father of all;
We thank you for calling us to be your people,
And for choosing us to give you glory.
In a special way we thank you for…

State your intention here.

Cleanse our hearts and our lives
With your holy word
And make our prayer pleasing to you.
Guide us by your Spirit
As we follow in the paths of Jesus our brother.

All glory and praise are yours, Father,
For ever and ever.

Amen!

Let us give glory to the Father
Through the Son
In the Holy Spirit,
For God has made us his people, his Church,
And calls us to sing his praises.

All honour and glory and thanks are his,
And praise and worship belong to him.
To God be glory in his Church
For ever and ever!

Amen!

Thanks for a beautiful day: On a beautiful day,
we may thank God and praise him for his many gifts.

Father of Jesus,
We praise you and give you glory
For the wonderful things you do for us;
For life and health,
for friends and family,
for this splendid day.

For these reasons, we pray as Jesus taught us:

Our Father… Recite the ‘Our Father’ here.

Prayer in Praise of the Trinity

I venerate and glorify you, O most Blessed Trinity, In union with that ineffable glory With which God the Father, In his ominpotence, Honours the Holy Spirit forever.

I magnify and bless you, O most Blessed Trinity, In union with that most reverent glory With which God the Son, In his unsearchable wisdom, Glorifies the Father and the Holy Spirit forever.

I adore and extol you, O most Blessed Trinity, In union with that most adequate and befitting glory With which the Holy Spirit In his unchangeable goodness, Extols the Father and the Son forever.

Amen.

The Prayer, The Golden Sequence

Come, holy Ghost, and bring from above
The splendor of thy light.

Come, father of the poor, come, giver of graces,
Come, light of our hearts.

Best of consolers, sweet guest of the soul,
And comfort of the weary.

Thou rest in labor, relief in burning toil,
Consoling us in sorrow.

O blessed light, fill the innermost hearts
Of those who trust in thee.

Without thy indwelling there is nothing in man,24
And nothing free of sin.

Cleanse what is sordid, give water in dryness,
And heal the bleeding wounds.

Bend what is proud, make warm what is cold,
Bring back the wayward soul.

Give to the faithful who trustingly beg thee
Thy seven holy gifts.

Grant virtue’s reward, salvation in death,
And everlasting joy.

Amen.

Alleluia.

The Prayer, Learning Christ.

Teach me, my Lord, to be sweet and gentle in all the events of life, in disappointments, in the thoughtlessness of those I trusted, in the unfaithfulness of those on whom I relied. Let me put myself aside, to think of the happiness of others, to hide my little pains and heartaches, so that I may be the only one to suffer from them. Teach me to profit by the suffering that comes across my path. Let me so use it that it may make me patient, not irritable. That it may make me broad in my forgiveness, not narrow, haughty and overbearing. May no one be less good for having come within my influence. No one less pure, less true, less kind, less noble for having been a fellow traveler in our journey toward Eternal Life. As I go my rounds from one distraction to another, let me whisper from time to time, a word of love to Thee. May my life be lived in the supernatural, full of power for good, and strong in its purpose of sanctity.

Amen.

The Prayer, Majestic Queen of Heaven

Majestic Queen of Heaven and Mistress of the Angels, thou didst receive from God the power and commission to crush the head of Satan; wherefore we humbly beseech thee, send forth the legions of heaven, that, under thy command, they may seek out all evil spirits, engage them everywhere in battle, curb their insolence, and hurl them back into the pit of hell. “Who is like unto God?”

O good and tender Mother, thou shalt ever be our hope and the object of our love.

O Mother of God, send forth the holy Angels to defend me and drive far from me the cruel foe.

Holy Angels and Archangels, defend us and keep us.

The Prayer, Memorable Jesus< Mary and Joseph

Remember, Heart of Jesus, Immaculate Heart of Mary, and you, O glorious St. Joseph, that no one has ever had recourse to your protection, or implored your assistance without obtaining relief. Animated with the utmost lively confidence, I come laden with the weight of my sins, to prostrate myself before you. O Merciful Heart of Jesus, Immaculate Heart of Mary, and you, O glorious St. Joseph, reject not my prayer and petitions but graciously hear and grant them.

Amen
