Almighty and eternal God, 
You have promised that there will someday be but one fold and one Shepherd. 

Hasten that day, we pray You, 
in Your most merciful kindness and generosity. 
Pour the light of Your grace 
into the minds of our non-Catholic friends 
so that they may see the truth, 
and fully realize that the truth is one and undivided. 
Give them also the strength of will 
needed to follow in the direction of the light You give them.

Let us, their neighbors and friends, 
not be a hindrance to their conversion by our bad example. 
Rather let Your goodness be made clear to them by the virtue of our lives. 

Then may they finally all be brought to You, 
the Light that enlightens every man who comes into the world.

Amen.

That they may all be one, as You, Father, in Me and I in You; 
that they so may be one in Us, 
that the world may believe that You have sent Me. (John 17:21)

V. I say unto you, that you are Peter.
R. And upon this rock I will build My Church.

Let us pray.

O Lord Jesus Christ, 
You said to Your Apostles: 
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you.” 
Look not upon our sins, but upon the faith of Your Church, 
and grant to her that peace and unity 
which are agreeable to Your will, 
who live and are King and God, 
for ever and ever. 

R. Amen.

Lord, I am in this world to show Your mercy to others. 
Other people will glorify You 
by making visible the power of Your grace 
by their fidelity and constancy to You. 

For my part I will glorify You 
by making known how good You are to sinners, 
that Your mercy is boundless 
and that no sinner no matter how great his offences 
should have reason to despair of pardon. 

If I have grievously offended You, My Redeemer, 
let me not offend You even more 
by thinking that You are not kind enough to pardon Me.

Amen.

Before the closing of the day,
Creator, we Thee humbly pray,
That, for Thy wonted mercy’s sake,
Thou us under protection take.
May nothing in our minds excite
Vain dreams and phantoms of the night;
Our enemies repress, that so
Our bodies no uncleanness know.
In this, most gracious Father, hear,
With Christ, Thy equal Son, our prayer;
Who, with the Holy Ghost and Thee,
Doth live and reign eternally.

Amen.

As I stumble through this life,
help me to create more laughter than tears,
dispense more happiness than gloom,
spread more cheer than despair.

Never let me become so indifferent
that I will fail to see the wonder
in the eyes of a child
or the twinkle in the eyes of the aged.

Never let me forget that my total effort
is to cheer people, make them happy
and forget – at least momentarily
all the unpleasantness in their lives.

And, in my final moment,
may I hear You whisper:
‘When you made My people smile,
you made Me smile.

O God, you continually provide your Church with new examples of virtue, 
may Your people follow in the footsteps of the blessed confessor bishop Andrew 
and obtain the same reward he now enjoys. 

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who being God, 
lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, 
for ever and ever.

Amen.

O God, the Giver of all good gifts, 
in Your servant Bibiana You joined the flower of virginity 
with the palm of martyrdom; 
be pleased, by her intercession, 
to join our souls by charity to You, 
so that all dangers being removed, 
we may obtain our eternal reward. 
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, 
who lives and reigns with You 
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, 
for ever and ever.

Amen.

God our Father, You gave the bishop David to the Welsh Church to uphold the faith 
and to be an example of Christian perfection. 
In this changing world 
may he help us to hold fast to the values which bring eternal life. 

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who being God, 
lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, 
for ever and ever.

Amen.

O God, You taught blessed Gabriel diligently 
to ponder the sorrows of Your most sweet Mother, 
and exalted him to the glory of sanctity 
and the working of miracles; 
grant us, through his intercession and example, 
so to mourn with Your Mother, 
that we may be saved through her maternal care. 
You Who are God, 
living and reigning with God the Father 
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, for ever and ever.

Grant, we beseech thee, O Lord, 
that the prayers of thy holy Abbot, blessed Giles 
may commend us unto thee: 
that we, who have no power of ourselves to help ourselves, 
may by his advocacy find favour in thy sight.
