Bless Me, O Lord

Heavenly Father, Almighty God,
I humble myself before your Presence. 
What a joy it is to come to you.
I thank you and I praise your infinite Majesty, 
Omnipotence and Perfections. 
Please forgive me of all my sins. 

Lord I come to you in my nothingness. 
I want to worship you and adore you, 
to love you with all my heart, 
with all my mind, 
with all my soul 
and with all my strength. 

I want to burn with desire for you like an angel.
I need you my Lord, 
I am nothing without you. 
I ask you to raise me before your Glory.

Shine your light upon me, 
allow me to walk with you 
and always do your Holy Will.
Protect me and bless me O Merciful Lord. 
Fill me with your Holy Spirit, 
grant me peace, love and joy. 

Heal me, bless me and sanctify me O Lord; 
make me a blessing for all those around me. 

Amen.

To Our Blessed Mother

We fly to your protection, most holy Mother of God; please listen to our petitions and needs, and deliver us from all dangers, ever glorious and blessed Virgin Mary. 

Mary, our model and mother, by your obedience and patience you have taught us how to be true children of God. Please help us by your powerful assistance to overcome all our weaknesses, and to fulfill perfectly our tasks in life. 

By your compassionate aid may we ever stand in spirit with you beneath the cross of Christ so that we may also rejoice with you in your divine Son’s triumphant victory over sin and death. 

In your maternal kindness help us to be faithful to prayers in the company of God’s Church as you were one with the Apostles in the upper room as you waited for the promised Spirit of Pentecost. 

With your gracious assistance may we be near you in the glory of Christ’s kingdom come to sing with you and all the faithful the eternal praise of God.

Amen.

A Prayer to the Blessed Virgin Our Lady of Mount Carmel

O most beautiful Flower of Mount Carmel, Fruitful Vine, Splendour of Heaven, Blessed Mother of the Son of God, Immaculate Virgin, assist me this my necessity. O Star of the Sea, help me and show me herein you are my Mother.

O Holy Mary, Mother of God, Queen of Heaven and Earth, I humbly beseech you from the bottom of my heart, to succour me in this necessity; there are none that can withstand your power.

O, show me herein you are my Mother, O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. (3 times)
Sweet Mother, I place this cause in your hands. (3 times)

Prayer to the Blessed Virgin Mary for England

O blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God and our most gentle Queen and Mother, look down in mercy upon England thy “Dowry” and upon us all who greatly hope and trust in thee. By thee it was that Jesus our Saviour and our hope was given unto the world; and He has given thee to us that we might hope still more. Plead for us thy children, whom thou didst receive and accept at the foot of the Cross, O sorrowful Mother. Intercede for our separated brethren, that with us in the one true fold they may be united to the supreme Shepherd, the Vicar of thy Son. Pray for us all, dear Mother, that by faith fruitful in good works we may all deserve to see and praise God, together with thee, in our heavenly home.

Prayer to the Blessed Virgin to Obtain the Love of Jesus and a Happy Death

O Mary, thou who desirest so much to see Jesus loved, if thou love me, this is the favour which I ask of thee, to obtain for me a great love of Jesus Christ. Thou obtainest from Thy Son whatever pleases thee; pray, then, for me, and console me. Obtain for me a great love towards thee, who, of all creatures, art the most loving and beloved of God. And through that grief which thou didst suffer on Calvary, when thou beheldest Jesus expire on the Cross, obtain for me a happy death, that by loving Jesus and thee, my Mother, I may come to love thee forever in heaven.

Blessing of All Domestic Animals

Lord God King of heaven and earth, Thou the Word of the Father by whom all creatures were given us for our support: look down, we beseech Thee, on our lowliness. As Thou hast given us these animals to assist us in our labors and needs so mayest Thou in Thy great goodness and mercy bless them from above, guard and preserve them; and, while Thou givest Thy servants temporal benefits, mayest Thou grant us thy continual grace so that we may praise Thy holy name with thanksgiving. 

Blessing of an Automobile

V. Our help is in the name of the Lord.
R. Who has made heaven and earth.
V. The Lord be with you.
R. And with your spirit.

Let us pray.

Lend a willing ear, Lord God, to our prayers, and bless this vehicle with Your holy right hand. Direct Your holy angels to accompany it, that they may free those who ride in it from all dangers, and always guard them. And just as by Your deacon Philip You gave faith and grace to the man of Ethiopia as he sat in his chariot reading the Sacred Word, so, point out to Your servants the way of salvation. Grant that, aided by Your grace, and with their hearts set on good works, they may, after all the joys and sorrows of this journey through life, merit to receive eternal joys, through Christ our Lord.

Blessing of the Barn and the Stored Harvest

O Lord, Almighty God, Thou dost not cease to give many riches in the dew that falls from heaven, and nourishment for life in fertility of the soil. We give thanks to Thy most gracious majesty for the fruits of the field which we have harvested, and we pray that Thou wouldst bless and preserve these fruits which we have received from Thy hand; grant us, whom Thou hast filled with these gifts, that we may glory in Thy protection and praise Thy mercy forever, and so having received (enjoyed) temporal gifts we may not lose those that are eternal.
